Here we see Lautrec's cousin, Gabriel Tapie de Celeyran, in an astonishing get-up, clinging to the wheel of his new car. He and Paul Guilbert were among the first motorists in Paris-a rare treat, or, perhaps, frightening vision, for any chance pedestrians in the area.
