This lithograph, printed by the Grande Imprimerie Centrale, Paris, was used with text as a leaflet advertising Ibsen's Rosmersholm, which was performed in Count Prozor's translation at the Théâtre de L'Oeuvre during the 1897/1898 season, and Frantz Jourdain's comedy Le Gage (The Guarantee). At the time, Jourdain-a well-known architect and critic-was president of the Salon d'Automne, so it seems only fitting that he can be seen in the centre of the picture with Count Prozor.
